Why is Communication Key?
Effective communication with your supervisor (BCBA/BCaBA) is the lifeline of the ABA team. You are the "eyes and ears" of the case.
Your supervisor cannot be there every day. They rely on your updates to know if the plan is working.
What to Communicate
- Program Success: "He mastered the colors goal today!"
- Barriers: "He is refusing to sit for the new program."
- Parent Concerns: "Mom mentioned they are moving next month."
- Your Needs: "I don't understand how to run this new protocol."
RBT Practice Exam Scenario
Question: "The RBT notices the client is consistently failing a new math program. What should the RBT do?"
Answer: Communicate this to the supervisor immediately (don't just keep running a failing program).
